stabiles 690

01 product description

Product description

The name of the new system of tables designed by Alfredo Häberli reflects a precise source of inspiration: the steel structures anchored to the ground that Alexander Calder crafted between 1945 and 1985. Alfredo Häberli infused the lightness and plasticity of Calder's works into a collection entirely made of wood. The natural elegance of this material is exalted by the formal essentiality of each model, that goes well with a multiplicity of seat styles.
Stabiles includes tables of different heights and sizes, all of them made of heartwood. Particularly significant is the bearing structure, which becomes a clean and incisive graphic sign and, thanks to its finger joints ensures unsurpassed stability. The wooden top has tapered heartwood edges. The structure is fully made of heartwood. Every table is lacquered with an opaque, transparent film that enables the grain and the aesthetic quality of the wood to remain unaltered. Enamelled variants are also available. The paint coating the top has been specially studied to ensure the solidity of the surface.
