Product description
Philippe Starck's latest extension to the PLAY with DEDON collection is a stunning variation on the original PLAY Dining table, launched to wide acclaim at the 2010 Salone di Mobile. While the original continues to wow the world with its innovative tabletop, an eco-friendly composite of bamboo powder and resin that has the look and feel of real wood, the latest addition to the line features a tabletop that is no less impressive, consisting of a row of elegantly simple, industrial-strength porcelain slats, approximately 20cm in width, 12mm in thickness and up to an incredible 270cm in length.
The slats of the new tabletop are cut from the largest porcelain tiles ever created in this format, extruded and compacted especially for DEDON. Glazed at 1,300°C, the slats offer uncommon strength, zero-absorbance and a remarkable resistance to scuffing that makes this easy-to-clean table perfect for heavy-duty outdoor use, all year long. The narrow gaps between the slats, which allow for water drainage, give the tabletop a rich, tiled look. Available in striking White, in four different sizes, the new PLAY Dining in porcelain sits on the same polished aluminum base as the original and makes an equally powerful impression!
