The fascinating effects of translucency and transparency are a powerful theme in design, architecture and engineering - as in culture, politics and society. There is a strong call for versatile, high-performance - yet translucent - materials in commercial environments such as hospitality, retail and public buildings, but also in decorative applications in the home. Innovations in lighting technology also make such material options increasingly relevant and versatile.

The "Illumination Series" introduces colours with superior translucency to enhance the potential for lighting effects with Corian®.
Possible finishes: matte, semigloss, gloss.

02 Technical Data

technical description

DuPont™ Corian® is a solid, non-porous, homogeneous surfacing material composed of ± 1/3 acrylic resin (also known as PolyMethyl MethAcrylate or PMMA) and ± 2/3 natural minerals. The main mineral is Aluminium TriHydrate(ATH) derived from bauxite, an ore from which aluminium is produced.
