4 SuperQuick cooking zones
The SuperQuick cooking zones heat up and cool down very quickly in response to the temperature control. They are highly efficient and radiate heat evenly from the centre to the very edge. Power control is precise and the zone emits a red light that rises and falls in intensity as the power output changes.
Residual heat indicator
Depending on the heating method used, a cooking zone can take quite a few minutes to cool down after use. Every zone on a Gagggenau glass-ceramic hob has its own residual heat indicator, which lights to show that the zone is still radiating heat and remains lit until the temperature reaches a safe level.
Variable cooking zones
The unusually large cooking zones can be combined in different ways to create larger or smaller cooking surfaces as required. The generous spacing between the zones means that you always have plenty of room to work comfortably, even with large saucepans, casseroles, square frying pans or long, narrow fish pans. The space advantage really comes into play when you have to cook for a big family or large group of guests.
High-grade non-porous glass-ceramic
The high-grade non-porous glass-ceramic used in Gaggenau hobs directs the full intensity of the radiated heat onto the cooking pot without any significant loss. The surface is perfectly smooth so you can easily slide a pot to one side to remove it from the heat. The actual cooking zones are marked with a pale outline against a dark surface. The ultra-smooth and even surface is particularly easy to clean and makes a useful extra working area when the heat is off.
