François Azambourg, 45, besonders erfinderischer französischer Designer mit vielen wichtigen Auszeichnungen. Verbindet in seiner Forschung Arbeitstechniken und reine Kunst mit angewandter Kunst. Entwirft u. a. für Hermès, Cappellini, Poltrona Frau und Ligne Roset. Nach den Leuchten BRINDILLE, FAISCEAU und der übergroßen Wanduhr PIXEL bringt Ligne Roset nun den Schreibtisch VILLA ROSE heraus, den Azambourg zunächst für die Designausstellung der Villa Noailles in Hyères im Sommer 2008 entworfen hatte, passend zu dem gleichnamigen Stuhl.
VILLA ROSE ist ein Schreibtisch mit außergewöhnlich klarer und minimalistischer Linienführung aus Eiche massiv, schwarz gebeizt. Das Objekt reduziert sich auf den Tisch selbst und ein einziges Aufbewahrungsfach aus Nussbaum massiv, das sich auf originelle Weise ohne jegliche Mechanik unter die Platte schieben lässt. Die Verarbeitung ist extrem aufwendig, so werden z. B. die Kanten der Füße per Hand mit Furnier nachgearbeitet.
