Haworth - A Worldwide Vision
'Our goals are to exceed people's expectations, to justify their trust and to earn their respect and loyalty. For us, every single customer is a special person', says Dick Haworth, chairman of the Haworth supervisory board. The Haworth Group is one of the world's leading office furnishing companies. With development, production and distribution facilities in almost every country of the world, and a total of 7,500 employees, Haworth is in 95th place on the Forbes list of owner-managed companies. Haworth products are developed on three continents - America, Asia and Europe - and more than 600 authorised dealers work to ensure that quality is supplied all over the world.

How it all began
Like so many other success stories, the Haworth tale begins in a garage. In 1948, G.W. Haworth began producing wooden display units in his garage, in an effort to earn money to finance his children's studies. This pioneering spirit, coupled with a desire to take his future into his own hands led to the growth of a company whose family management is now in its third generation. These initial forces are still a central component of the company's philosophy.

Company values
Haworth is a worldwide organisation that has devoted itself completely to products and services that are of equal benefit to customers and employees on the one hand and society in general on the other. Haworth pursues aesthetic principles, respects individuals and society, and places great importance on protecting the environment. This philosophy is embodied in the company values and serves as a guiding principle for the entire organisation in all that it does.

Worldwide presence
Haworth is a world market leader in the design and production of office worlds that can be easily integrated in all environments. The owner-managed company has its head office in Holland, Michigan, USA and it is from here that Haworth has developed into a global player over the last 25 years. The company is represented in more than 120 countries and maintains development and production facilities in China, France, Germany, Italy, Portugal, Spain, Switzerland, India, Canada and the USA.

The product portfolio comprises room divider systems, technical shelving, modular system furnishings, desk systems, seats and executive furnishings, cupboard systems, cable run elements and electrical unit ranges. In addition to marketing its own product lines, Haworth is also the owner of Groupe Lacasse from St. Pie in Quebec, Canada. The company, which manufactures workplace and storage space systems as well as seating and school fittings, was established in 1956.

All Haworth products are characterised global trend developments and reflect a constant endeavour to continue developing. Haworth has created a company culture that stands for absolute customer satisfaction, technical advancement, and innovative design as well as living a clear sense of responsibility for the environment. Haworth products can be constantly adapted to perfectly suit the constantly changing external conditions in which they are used; the customer can therefore be sure that his products will enjoy long-term use.
