The furniture design «STARCK BY WARENDORF» presented for the first time at the end of 2009 as well as the room designs developed by WARENDORF add new highlights for creating a cosy kitchen to the traditional Warendorf premium kitchen range. Over the past four years, Miele DIE KÜCHE/WARENDORF has become the pioneer of the new living culture in the "Living room kitchen". The collaboration with Philippe Starck has given the «WARENDORF» brand additional creative impetus. With its wide range of innovations, the collection is designed to go way beyond the design concept of traditional, made-to-measure fitted kitchens and makes it possible to have furnishings for any room size and many different styles with its inter-combinable elements. «My kitchen is an expression of my personality», that is the new WARENDORF brand claim.

The imm cologne furniture fair is currently making a comeback, not just thanks to efforts being made to once again provide dedicated labels and manufacturers with a sophisticated platform, but also because of its grand new kitchen show, "Living Kitchen". While experienced trade fair visitors may have wondered what the name referred to ("the kitchen is alive" or perhaps "living the kitchen"?) one thing is clear: Kitchens are the new hot topic that electrifies professional visitors and the general public alike.
