Product description
Modular Green® was launched at the end of 2006 as the brand name for Modular's unique range of outdoor lighting. Modular Green® is characterised by authentic shapes, the use of new colours, integration of energy-saving light sources, etc. ‘BRANCH' enhances Modular Green® with an eye catcher of format.
The courage to combine
BRANCH is not simply a standalone outdoor luminaire. BRANCH is a true self-build system with which unique configurations can be created according to a user's own needs. The starting punt is always the organic and sloping base structure consisting of lacquered plastic polycarbonate, and available in khaki and mat black structure.
The light source is integrated as standard either in a lateral branch suspended at a fixed 15° angle to the base structure, or along the top side, centrally in the housing. By means of one universal connector, different ‘BRANCHes' can be attached to one another. Between those BRANCH units containing a light source an empty BRANCH can also be placed serving purely and simply as building block. Above all the organic shape of the unit ensures that BRANCH becomes one with its surroundings, nature, and in addition to its functional significance, also gives a decorative spirit to the outdoor surroundings. Technical
The lateral branches are horizontally directional around their central axis, so that the light can be diffused in countless directions. Furthermore, the direction of the lateral branch can be directed either upwards or downwards simply by turning the housing. The light sources are for both ‘sidelight' (when the lateral branch is directed down or up) and for ‘uplight' (light source along the top): ice white LED 6x1W (6600 Kelvin), warm white LED 6x1W (3300 Kelvin), Halogen Par 30 and CDM-R par 30. Thanks to the system's flexibility and the integration of the different light sources, BRANCH can be used for a great deal of applications: path lighting, garden ambience lighting, outer wall lighting, etc.
For the 6W LED version Modular has developed a unique cluster of six high power LED's. This configuration guarantees concentrated light distribution and is energy efficient. The LED gear is integrated in the housing.
With the CDMR-PAR30 version, due to the integration of the large ballast, a structure height of 602mm must be allowed for instead of 301mm.
The Halogen PAR30 version has among other things the advantage that no ballast is needed and that the lamp can be dimmed. This makes it ideal for individual home projects.
Optional colour filters, a soft and spread lens create accentuated light diffusion. Thanks to an optional ‘earthpin', BRANCH can also be installed in a soft foundation.
Branch is a design by Rotorgroup, a Belgian team of graphic, web, interior and product shapers.
