Shenzhen and Hong Kong Biennale

The Shenzhen and Hong Kong Bi-City Biennale of Urbanism and Architecture, which is the world's only international biennial for urban planning and urbanization, will take place from December 8, 2011 to February 18, 2012 in the two Chinese metropolises. The countless art and cultural events come under the heading of "Architecture Creates Cities, Cities Create Architecture".

Fashion on the move

Danish fashion designer Peter Jensen will be presenting his latest creations as part of a series of fashion shows being held under the heading of "Fashion in Motion" at London's Victoria and Albert Museum, on November 18. Each of his collections is dedicated to a specific muse, be it historical personalities, film heroes, or his own relatives. You must register for the event.

Inner worlds

What roles do didactic, symbolic, financial and political factors play in the case of large architectural projects? Taking the viewpoint of Japanese architect Yumiko Yamanda, the film entitled "Le paysage intérieur" follows the construction of the learning center at the EPFL Eidgenössische Technische Hochschule Lausanne designed by Japanese architects Sanaa. Pierre Maillard, the film's director, will be present at the screening on November 29 at Zurich's Filmpodium.
