Gunilla Hedlund´s colourful Baba chairs may have more in common with the porous architecture of Toyo Ito than they do with the furniture around them. Like Ito, Hedlund often uses organic shapes in her work and relies on negative spaces to break down the density of surfaces and mass. Hedlund is the designer behind several popular Nola products. Hedlund´s designs, like good architecture, almost always withstand the test of time.
