Fleece on the backside of veneer turns normal spliced veneers into fleece´n´flex – the fleeced spliced veneers by Schorn & Groh. These veneers boast a long list of advantages. For one thing, they allow forming and shaping without tearing or splitting. Even burl veneers are completely smooth and easy to handle. All fleeced spliced veneers are sanded to a varnish-ready finish. Simplified processing and greater processing reliability ensure that the investment (about 2 to 5 euro/m²) in fleeced spliced veneers is quickly amortized in most cases.

Fleece is affixed to veneer under high pressure, resulting in a high quality material combination. The weight of the fleece and the type of adhesive determine the stability, strength and resistance to heat and moisture. New to the product line are moisture-resistant melamine resin bonding and temperature-resistant phenol resin bonding for projects which have to fulfill strict requirements for fire protection. fleece´n´flex-Veneer is particularly suitable for multi-dimensional shapes and hard-to-work-with surfaces. They can easily be bonded to unusual bases such as plexiglass or honeycomb panels. But in all conventional usages too, fleeced spliced veneers show off their proven advantages.

Fleeced veneers can be bonded with all conventional adhesives. We offer them in all jointing techniques (e.g., also as species mix) with urea resin up to a size of about 3.1 meters by 1.25 meters and also in customized sizes. The entire range of 140 wood species in our Karlsruhe inventory is available. All fleeced veneers are manufactured in Eschelbronn with the highest quality, "Made in Germany".
