Product description
FRAME SEAT is a comfortable chair with an unusual construction. Three profiles are interlocked in a way to stabilize each other and produce a beautiful, complex shape. Optimizing the utilization of the raw material wood was one of our main concerns in the development process.
We designed a construction consisting of solid wood battens and fine veneer strips which are joined by hand in an elaborate process. The whole frame as well as the battens in the seat and backrest are elastic to make sitting comfortable. The cushions are buttoned around the frame and can be removed easily for washing.
FRAME SEAT is characterised by distinct outlines and apertures. It is so lightweight that you can carry it wherever you like.

Wooden novelties
Nicola Stattmann is considered an expert on new materials and technologies. In a joint venture with her brother she is now presenting “Stattmann Neue Möbel” and in doing so takes her family’s joinery into its fourth generation. The first designs illustrate that there are still a great deal of opportunities for development innate in reputedly traditional wooden furniture.
