Product description
Bernina – that is the name of the extensive porcelain stoneware concept by Villeroy & Boch that has been a successful fixture in the market for the past eight years. The series has been updated several times since its introduction, adapting to changing customer needs in terms of color, format, surfacing and décor. This makes these high-quality porcelain stoneware tiles contemporary and in high demand. Bernina takes its inspiration from the glimmering quartzite found in the Grison Mountains of Switzerland. The harmonious nuances of color, the light play of color and the fine-veined, sandy surface texturing and a discreet glimmer lend Bernina a natural look that accounts for the attractiveness of the series. And now, Bernina is being updated again for the year 2012: The independent 35 x 70 cm format as well as the color "greige," a modern gray-beige, round off the scope of this successful series. The new format will be offered in the existing main colors of cream, beige, anthracite, gray and brown, in both matt and rough-polished finishes. In the future, the main formats of 30 x 60 cm, 60 x 60 cm and 35 x 70 cm will be available in the color greige, also in matt and rough-polished finishes. Formats of 10 x 30 cm, 7.5 x 60 cm and 15 x 60 cm, along with two different mosaic mats, glued to a 30 x 30 cm grid, round off the supplemental color, so that greige is also available for all applications, even for the design of walk-in showers. The discreet colorfulness, a close-to-nature look and surface texture and the wide selection of articles from which to choose make Bernina a very versatile series indeed. The tiles are suited for use on walls and floors in living rooms, halls, kitchens and bathrooms, for outdoor applications such as terraces and balconies, and in the high-end property area as well.
