Among other things, he specifically addressed current changes at the Hamburg Academy of Fine Arts. Friedrich von Borries was prompted by the article to outline his ideas on design. Von Borries is an architect and teaches design theory and curatorial practice at the selfsame institute in Hamburg. He is also the curator for contemporary design at Hamburg's MKG Museum of Arts & Crafts.
