Wulf Schneider was born in Stuttgart in 1943. He studied interior design, design, trade fair and industrial assembly at the State Academy of Visual Art in Stuttgart from 1964 to 1969. After that he gained professional experience in various companies, where he soon moved to managerial positions.

He set up on his own in 1976, opening the “Büro für Gestaltungskonzeptionen” in Stuttgart. Since then, the company has designed and created furniture, environments and interior design projects, for which Wulf Schneider has won countless awards. In 1987 he published “Sinn und Un-Sinn” (“Sense and Non-Sense”) on the 12 senses in humans in relation to architecture and design (2nd edition 1996).

Between 1991 and 2003 Wulf Schneider held the chair for industrial design at the Fachhochschule Munich, faculty of design. He lives and works in Stuttgart.
