A finales de los años 80, el ex-futbolista profesional del Bayern Munich, Bobby Dekeyser, decide desarrollar muebles de exterior de primerísima calidad, tan resistentes que soportan todos los cambios de temperatura y los agentes atmosféricos. A su favor tiene los amplios conocimientos de su familia que posee una fábrica de producción de plásticos desde hace varias generaciones, y desarrolla una fibra sintética completamente novedosa y particularmente resistente. En 1990 Bobby Dekeyser funda DEDON y protege esta fibra única en el mundo entero como marca comercial. Ese es el comienzo de una historia de éxito nunca visto.
