Der Schmuckunternehmer Marc-Jens Biegel setzt seit längerem auf die Zusammenarbeit mit namhaften Produktdesignern. Der jungste Coup von Biegel ist die Serie Oyster, die er mit dem erst kürzlich mit dem ‘Bundespreis Produktdesign’ ausgezeichneten Stefan Diez entwickelte. Da traf es sich für den jungen münchner Designer gut, dass seine Frau Saskia ausgebildete Goldschmiedin ist. Das Ehepaar entwarf ein ebenso einfaches, wie verblüffend vielseitiges Schmuckthema, das Biegel nun zur Serienreife gebracht hat:
Eine aus drei Löchern bestehende Goldscheibe wird durch handwerklich präzises Wölben zur Fassung einer runden Perle. Das edle Metall umschmiegt die Perle danach sanft wie eine Auster und hält sie ohne weitere Hilfsmittel fest im Ring, Anhänger, Arm- oder Ohrschmuck.
Ohne Perle wird dasselbe Motiv ein Kettenglied für beliebig lange Colliers. Bislang ist OYSTER in Roségold und mit perfekten Süßwasserperlen erhältlich.
