Grande surface, largeur 80 cm, avec cadre inox massif. Avec 4 zones de cuisson dont une zone de 28 cm de diamètre pour les très grands ustensiles. Avec bouton de commande magnétique amovible Twist-Pad réglable en 17 positions. Les zones de cuisson de différentes tailles bénéficient de la reconnaissance automatique du récipient et permettent une utilisation de casseroles et de poêles de dimensions variées. Cuisiner avec l’induction signifie cuisiner avec une extrême précision. C’est pourquoi les professionnels et chefs étoilés apprécient cette technique depuis fort longtemps : une plaque à induction Gaggenau réagit aussi vite que le gaz mais produit beaucoup moins de chaleur non désirée. Parce que cette dernière ne vient pas de la plaque elle-même mais est produite directement dans la casserole, il n’y a aucune perte d’énergie. Le temps de préchauffage est également beaucoup plus court avec une plaque à induction. L’absence de chaleur sur la plaque de cuisson évite la cuisson des éventuels débordements et permet un nettoyage très aisé. Des fonctions supplémentaires très pratiques telles que l’accélérateur de montée en température, la minuterie avec coupe-circuit et la fonction booster, permettent une utilisation agréable de la CI 481.

Induction hobs
Ceramic hobs offer optimum energy utilisation and short boiling times thanks to the latest energy transmission technology. After the induction hob is switched on, only the bottom of the cooking vessel is heated up, but not the cooking zone and the hob. This saves precious energy and time. In the case of conventional electric hobs in which the heat is generated in the heating element and is transmitted to the pot or the pan via the cooking surface, a considerable portion of the energy is lost. In the case of the induction hob, the heat is generated directly in the bottom of the pot and is transferred to its contents. No unused stored heat arises and the energy is optimally used. That is noticeable above all during boiling because the power output is available fully and immediately. And another plus: spilt food can no longer bake onto the cooking surface and is therefore easy to remove.

Individual residual heat indication
All cooking zones of Gaggenau ceramic electric hobs feature their own individual residual heat indication. This safety facility signals whenever cooking zones are still radiating residual heat after use.

Handy detachable control knob - and therefore easy to clean - for activating and controlling the cooking zones.

Pot detection
As induction cooking involves heating only of the pot or pan bottom, you can work on one and the same cooking zone with different sizes of pots or pans. What's particularly practical: the induction system recognises the diameter of the pot's or pan's bottom and automatically heats up the bottom only. The cooking zone switches off whenever a cooking vessel is pushed off the cooking zone during operation.

Automatic quick boil
Cooking position output is increased to the maximum by activating the automatic quick boil function. The quick boil time depends on the cooking output level set. The controller switches back automatically to the set keeping warm or continued cooking level after the quick boil time has elapsed.

Automatic cooking timer
The automatic cooking timer can be selected very conveniently by means of the sensor keys on the cooker: the required time for automatic activation of one or several cooking zone(s) can be selected up to 99 minutes in advance. You can also use the integrated timer as a short-time reminder independently of the functioning of the appliance.

Booster function
In addition to the automatic quick boil and cooking timer functions, allowing the cooking time for two zones to be programmed for up to 1.5 hours, the hob also features a booster function. This boosts the cooking position's output by 50 percent for two to ten minutes. This function is ideal for heating up large amounts of water very quickly.

Memory function
After the hob has been switched off, all settings and timer values remain stored for 15 seconds. This means you can restore all previously entered values after unintentional switching off.
