Suddenly Spain is Japanese and Japan a little Spanish

Spanish design collective CuldeSac has come up with a special idea for an exhibition for Tokyo Designers Week: "Made in JAPAIN - The true story of Spanish Design" uses a comic to convey a fantastic tale of interculturality.Her portfolio is full of surprises, her career international. The young Spanish product designer, Inma Bermúdez, works both for Ikea and Spanish porcelain manufacturer Lladró as well as being an assistant to Sigga Heimis, Jaime Hayon and CuldeSac. Talking to Nina Müller, she explains what designers have in common with engineers and how to really fire up the inventive spirit of a designer.
The work by (interior) designer Francesc Rifé stands out for its clarity and reduction. This is particularly surprising, as if anything, traditional Spanish design is known more for its shrill tones.
