The system in the building
Cut a round tube and join it back together again at right-angles with a mitre joint: This was the idea of the architect Robert Mallet-Stevens (1886 -1945), whose lever handle is nowadays known of as the "Frankfurt Model".
HEWI has derived a whole system on the basis of this simple but clever design: Products with coordinated shapes ensure consistent, systematic design in the building's hardware, signage systems, handrails and electronic locking systems - and now, as a new addition, in its sanitary fittings too.
And not only that: available in three materials: polyamide, aluminium and stainless steel, the system idea of "one shape - three materials" is continued for comprehensive door and window fittings. In addition, the fittings and signage systems of System 162 are visually compatible with project-specific switch ranges.
Consistency in the Building
HEWI's System 162 provides consistency, not only with respect to material and form, but in function too. For example, the components of the new eLOCK electronic locking system can be integrated in all the system's fittings.
