Freely suspended from the ceiling using the YOYO suspension system
Simple and meticulously designed, the unpretentious YOYO suspension system lets you suspend panels from the ceiling anywhere in a room. There are round openings on the back of the panels for this purpose. Two panels can be placed back-to-back and hung at any height using the steplessly adjustable mounting fixtures of the suspension system. Voilà, a lightweight floating element that makes a statement: You can create stylish partitioning elements between workspaces, spaces within a room or anywhere else that needs acoustic protection without any available walls.
Features
The YOYO suspension system can be used to suspend a pair of equally-sized panels by acousticpearls freely in a room. The panels can be suspended either vertically or horizontally.
YOYO is compatible with all panels from the product families MONO, DUO 1, DUO 2 and STRIPE.
One YOYO Basis set is required for each panel combination (two back-to-back panels).
Load rating
Each cable has a load rating of 27 kg. Therefore the total load rating of the YOYO suspension system is 54 kg.
Weights of the individual pairs of panels:
2 panels, size S = 6 kg
2 panels, size M = 12 kg
2 panels, size L = 24 kg
2 panels, size XL = 24 kg
The listed load rating for the suspension system can only be guaranteed if there is a secure connection between the ceiling and the system. The properties of the ceiling need to be examined in each specific case before a system is installed.
Design
The YOYO suspension system features an elegant design. The only elements that are visible are the simple ceiling anchors and thin metal cables. The YOYO mounting fixtures are neatly concealed by the backs of the two panels.
Expanding the suspension system
The YOYO suspension system can be expanded to incorporate new elements. Several pairs of panels can be suspended from the cable by installing additional mounting fixtures for more panels.
Note on fastening materials
The properties of the ceiling need to be examined before a system is installed. The systems do not ship with screws and anchors. They must be selected separately based on the specific type of ceiling.
Included components for the YOYO Basis set (for each panel combination)
2 YOYO panel mounting fixtures (freely height-adjustable on metal cables)
2 ceiling anchors (which consist of a universal cover plate and a small cover plate with a threaded connection cylinder with a hole for the cable)
2 metal cables with ball-type nipples (diameter = 1.5 mm, length = 2 m)
2 panel spacers (to insert inbetween two panels)
