Nobis Hotel Stockholm
06 March 2011
"The Nobis Hotel is a state-of-the-art luxury hotel. Designing the interior for our first hotel project, we attempted to exploit the experience we have acquired as frequent travelers. For us it was particularly important for guests not to be swamped by over-fussy details as soon as they arrive, which is a flaw we have noticed in several of these new boutique hotels. Sometimes when we overnight in hotels, no matter how extravagant they might be, we ask ourselves whether the architects responsible for the interior have actually ever spent a night in one of the hotels they designed." Eero Koivisto from the Stockholm architecture and design studio Claesson Koivisto Run.
The Nobis Hotel has over 200 rooms, more than half of which are fitted out individually. Many of the pieces of furniture, lights and fabrics are special editions, among them a lot of designs by Claesson Koivisto Rune.
