During development, particular attention was given to the aspects of optimising the anti-glare, economy, ecology, flexibility and system integration. The prism technology (K32) directs the direct light on to the workplace without glare and acts as a light window. Reflections in the monitor screen are eliminated. FLAT conforms to the requirements for 65° anti-glare in accordance with EU standards and features a light operating efficiency of over 80%. Consequently, the number of lights can be significantly reduced by spacing lights further apart. In addition, the lights can be arranged across or along the line of vision, which allows architects significantly greater freedom. The high-quality parts of FLAT are made of die-cast aluminium. The visual overall height is minimised with the aid of a set-back shadow structure. The dual-lamp FLAT versions are suitable for VDU work stations and have a broad light distribution. All the suspension lights are also available for strip mounting. One light strip consists of feed light, central parts and end lights. The lights are suspended on the connecting pieces using the strip mounting set and are through-wired. FLAT also represents greater efficiency due to intelligent light management. Whether with three-way switch, touch-dimmer, movement sensor or daylight controller: BELUX-Sensors provide for an additional reduction in energy costs by up to 80%.
