Master in Mechanical Engineering at Politecnico of Milan in 1969.
He collaborates as industrial designer with various companies, Alfa Romeo Auto, Ansaldo, Alias, Alessi, Cinelli, Ideal Standard, Luceplan, Legrand, Mandarina Duck, Omron Japan, Vitra, Kartell, Olivetti.
Lecturer at Domus Academy, Politecnico of Milan, Designlabor in Bremerhaven and at IUAV in Venice.
Several workshops and seminars in Osaka, Tokyo, Stockholm, London, St. Louis, Chicago and Miami.
Awarded with the "Compasso d'oro" for "Lola" lamp and "Metropoli" lamp, by Luceplan; "Createur de l'anné 1999" Paris, Salon du Meuble, Bundespreis Produktdesign 2000-01 with Vitra's Meda chair.
In 2005 Hon Royal Designer for Industry RSA London
Several exibitions, among others at "Triennale di Milano", "Design Gallery" in Tokyo, at Binnen Amsterdam and in Paris during Salon du Meuble.
Since 1994 MoMA NY includes in its permanent collection: "Light light" chair, "Soft light" chair, "Longframe" by Alias and "On-Off" lamp by Luceplan.
He works and lives in Milan.
