With the project Bend, family of chairs designed by German duo Jehs+Laub (Markus
and Jurgen), MDF Italia has been awarded for the second year in a row with the Interior Innovation Award 2012, one of the most prestigious prizes in the sector of furnishings and fine design.
Established in 2002 by Imm Cologne and organized with the "Rat fur Formgebun/German Design Council", the award is given every year to products made by exhibiting companies that have distinguished themselves for their innovative design.
The Bend family of chairs features a very stately, sturdy, elegant frame with a strong hi-tech undertone and a simple, tasteful look.
A chair with highly versatile applications, Bend lends itself not only to the domestic environment - the living room, kitchen, study corner - but also to work settings such as managerial offices and meeting rooms, and even to public areas in restaurants, cafeterias, receiving rooms and waiting rooms.
The frame, characterized by a trapezoidal section, is entirely made of aluminium through die-casting and extrusion. Matt lacquered in white, black, light grey and anthracite grey, or chrome-plated. Available also with arms.
Depending on the type of chair employed, Bend can take on a different character and appearance to meet the many demands of the market and offer a wide range of uses.
Outdoor versions available with a lacquered frame and a mesh shell.
