Vacation in Iran. The most frequent reaction to this is the question: "Isn't that rather dangerous?" The simple answer is: No it isn't. In fact, you will most probably meet exceptionally friendly and open-minded people. And be overwhelmed by beautiful mosques and palaces, bazaars and teahouses, gardens, deserts and mountains. A picture story from Iran, starting in Teheran.
Teheran - a combination of big city madness with a population of 14 million, Oriental tranquility, hidden old and new wonders, and a monotonous, gray sea of concrete. Glittering jewels and a veil of smog. The thrill of road traffic, organized according to Darwinian principles, can be best experienced in a taxi. And if you pass the test of courage of crossing a four-lane street near the bazaar is smack bang in the middle of Teheran life!
