Going vintage ain’t enough
The Design Miami trade fair, which runs parallel to Art Basel, was not very convincing. It lacked a clear curatorial thrust, exciting exhibitions and statements. And not least there was no clear position on contemporary design, although this is so sorely needed.

Making chairs!
The exhibition entitled "Ideen sitzen / Ideas that sit well" at Hamburg's Museum für Kunst und Gewerbe invites visitors to peruse chairs, armchairs and sofas. The tour of the museum swiftly morphs into a voyage of discovery through the history of interior design, if not even the history of ideas and cultural history of recent decades.
Design as a way of reconsidering life
The Brazilian designers Fernando and Humberto Campana have come to Weil am Rhein on the occasion of the opening of their major exhibition at the Vitra Design Museum. Talking to Stylepark, the brothers describe their experiences as cultural ambassadors of Brazil, explain their idea of self-respect in design and the possible ways of fusing high-tech and traditional craftwork.
