The six architecture offices taking part in the current ‘Lights Change’ display at the Vitra Showroom in Frankfurt immediately agreed that “we want a joint project and we want to use the entire showroom.” Such team spirit is compelling.

Effortless moments of magic

This year’s Designers’ Saturday held in the Swiss town of Langenthal certainly confirmed the trade fair’s standing as one of the finest and most creative design events in the world.Cell offices and cubicles are considered negative examples of office design. The era of what we would today regard as the human office started with the “Citizen Office”. Concepts such as the “Net'n'Nest” symbolize the attempt to combine networking and concentrated work. So will we in future work in a kind of adventure playground for adults?
Over the past few years several crossover projects between fashion and furniture have attracted much attention. Together, G-Star Raw and Vitra are sounding out the furniture cosmos of Jean Prouvé. The "Prouvé Raw" collection is a successful homage to the French designer.
