Biographie

Born in Saarijärvi, 02.11.1949

Interior architect, University of Art and Design, Helsinki 1982

'One cannot hurry in this job. There are a lot of ideas and usually I work with them several years before the producer is allowed to see pictures or prototypes.'

'It is difficult to define how ideas are born. In the end, everything is actually variation of the existing, isn't it. However, my own silent moments are important in the creating process.'

'Inspiration can be born for example from artistic experiences - great sculptures, paintings, skillful dance.'

'I make prototypes of my product ideas and then I begin to think: does the product look right in my own eyes?'
