Slice by EeStairs is a staircase design solution characterised by a multiple timber elements to the underside of the stair which form both a decorative soffit and a eye catching tread support. With differing materials and geometry the options are numerous. Slice by EeStairs is a striking solution intended to catch the eye and the imagination. Based around a fabricated steel carcass a Slice staircase can be supplied in straight and helical configurations. The helical example here specified for a home in Ireland features dark stained Slices combined with glass treads and glass balustrade. The extensive use of glass ensures that the helical array of timber ribs is visible from many angles affording users the opportunity to explore the geometry and interplay between light and shadow.
