Produktbeschreibung

The chair designed by Tokujin Yoshioka presents Japanese perfectionism and aesthetic simplicity in a fine balance of ancient poetics and modern styling. Moon has an implicit elegance. Its clean, flowing lines create a harmonic relationship with the surrounding space. But its originality also lies in the visual movement it generates when hit by light, from which it absorbs and diffuses a subtle, almost rarefied (half-light) tactile and perceptive materiality. "MOON is a chair inspired by the beauty of light and shadow typical of the Moon. Lunar light is ephemeral, it suddenly appears and disappears. It's the most subtle expression of the universe", says the designer, emphasising the inspiration he always feels when observing the processes of Nature. Moon is also the forerunner of the Memory design presented in 2010 at the Milan Furniture Fair. In fact Moon is the basic shell on which covers are placed to create the shape of Memory through a tactile, participatory process that made the chair such a success. Moon is presented in its armchair version: lacquered or non-lacquered rotomoulded polyethylene or fabric-upholstered polyurethane. The chair version, with steel feet, is available in a lacquered flexible polyurethane version or with fabric upholstery.
