Dionisio is a replica of the 921 model that made its first appearance in the catalogue of 1924 and had been designed after the typical wing chair of the 19th century to recreate its salient traits in a timeless version. The current edition has been improv
ed in terms of comfort and its size has been adapted to present-day needs, while leaving period accoutrements unaltered. The padding is by means of rubberised horsehair and polyurethane foam, and the seat cushion is stuffed with goose down. The springing
of the seat and back uses biconic steel springs, tied by hand. The bearing structure is made of seasoned Beech. Available upholstered in Pelle Frau® leather from the Color System, in Heritage, or fabric. Upon request the client may also provide own mater
ial (c.o.m.).1919 takes its cue from model 128, which made its debut in Renzo Frau’s 1919 catalogue. The 128 reproduced the opulent features of rococo armchairs, with the addition of a special extension to serve as footrest and a small book stand supporte
d by an arm anchored to the side. The present-day version of this armchair, reproducing the big “ears” of the seatback and the large rounded arms with plissé finish, is even more stylish, and the book stand has been replaced with a brass tray. The design
of the back is achieved by means of manual quilting, the bearing structure is made of seasoned Beech. The seat is stuffed with rubberised horsehair, the seatback and arms use vegetal horsehair fashioned by hand. The seat, back and arms all use biconic st
eel springs tied manually and rested on jute belts. Upholstery is available in Pelle Frau® leather from the Color System or in Heritage or RAF leather. The upholstery is also available in Pelle Frau leather from the Color System or Heritage leather for th
e structure and in fabric for the seat cushions.
