Refinements wherever you look: What caught the eye at Milan’s Salone Internazionale del Bagno.

The organizers of the Milan Furniture Fair have given themselves a new structure. And Italian manufacturers and brands are also in the midst of change. The outlook for 2015.

Found pieces instead of orchestrated spaces: Designs relating to the cool, cleansing liquid substance as are on view at the Salone del Bagno Milan and in the Fuori Salone showrooms, are rich in innovative materials and champion the familiar purist style elements.

Milan in the days of the Salone and Fuori Salone – is a hodgepodge of impressions, encounters and cameo stories. In terms of form and content, they are as different as, say, people, furniture, brands, and markets.

The studio of Spanish designer Patricia Urquiola came up with the interior for luxurious hotel Mandarin Oriental in Barcelona. Scarcely recognizable as a hotel from the outside, inside it is all the more inviting, providing a temporary home for design enthusiasts from all over the world.
