Treasures in the archive
by Nina Reetzke | 9/17/2012
Cassina’s research for authenticity through culture and history stays very much in the foreground. A process that goes back to the origins to rediscover modern design projects, extracting them from the archives and making them known to everyone. Nuage, a family of bookshelves and cupboards designed by Charlotte Perriand in the 1950s, offers the opportunity to grasp the birth of one of the earliest and most effective examples of modular design. A play of coloured geometries where functionality meets aesthetics.
