Biography

Liam Gillick (born 1964 in Aylesbury, GB) is an artist based in New York. Since 2002, when he was nominated for the Turner Prize, he has had numerous solo exhibitions in museums and galleries around the world, including the Whitechapel Gallery, London, 2002; Palais de Tokyo, Paris, 2005; Kunsthalle Zürich, Kunstverein München and the MCA, Chicago, 2008 – 2010; Kunst und Ausstellungshalle der Bundesrepublik Deutschland, Bonn, 2010; Biennale Venedig 2009. Public collections include: Tate, London; Museum of Modern Art, New York; Guggenheim Museum, New York; Hirshhorn Museum, Washington DC; Museum of Contemporary Art, Chicago.
