What characterises their creativity is their sustained quest for perfection and a hybrid “nordic- italian” imprint of their designs; aware of its origins and always willing to transform and evolve into something new and innovative. The international multidisciplinary team is working in the fields of furniture design, industrial design, exhibition and interior design, brand installations and graphic design with a special focus on art direction. Renowned firms and brands like De Padova, Alcantara, Karl Küfner, DuPont™ Corian®, General Motors, Colé and Rossin have all confided in the skills and creativity of Lorenz + Kaz. Furthermore, the designers’ projects are part of the collections of companies like Zeitraum, OmniDecor®, Antonio Lupi, Sitap and Bedont. Beyond these prestigious collaborations, Catharina Lorenz and Steffen Kaz are designing, producing and commercialising their own Lorenz + Kaz branded collection. Their work received several international awards including the Red Dot Best of Best Design Award, Germany, Chicago Athenaeum Good Design Award USA, German Design Award Special Mention and furthermore their work is part of prestigious international exhibitions.
