Wet room or open bathroom?

A range of different options exist for the future of bathrooms in micro-apartments. We show you exciting new ideas and products.
At Living Kitchen, the international trade fair in Cologne for industry experts and the public alike (imm 18 - 23 January 2011), fittings manufacturer Dornbracht is unveiling eno, a new single-lever mixer for the kitchen with an intuitive lever design that reduces hot water consumption. Whilst conventional single-lever mixer taps provide a mixture of cold and warm water in the neutral lever position, eno solely supplies cold water when in that position. This means that simply opening the fitting does not incur any of the energy costs associated with heating water. eno's clear and functional graphical style is emphasised by the lever's precise 90° aperture angle.
"eno is once again underscoring the high standard of quality we place on design, function and the actual benefit provided to users," said Managing Director Andreas Dornbracht. "In order to enhance the democratic aspect of this quality, we developed eno into the ideal fitting for the basic premium segment."
In addition to the classic single-lever model, eno is also available with a retractable spray head or retractable tip. In addition to the aerated stream, the spray head also features a second stream option. Within the Dornbracht Water Zones product portfolio, eno combines exceptionally well with the Universal Water Zone. Ideal accessories for the fittings include the knob-operated strainer waste and the built-in dispenser for washing up liquid without rosette. The product was designed by Sieger Design. The single-lever eno mixer will be available in chrome and platinum surface finishes and will be ready for delivery in June.
