DuPont™ Corian® ELM1

Perfect proportions, gentle shapes: The dining table Elm 1 fascinates with its combination of rich walnut wood with DuPont™ Corian® in the colour Deep Sable, manufactured using the innovative DeepColour™ Technology. The table was designed and produced by Amini Raumkonzepte . Objektdesign from Heidelberg and stands for dedicated craftsmanship. Fluid transitions between both materials link the natural beauty of the wood with the cool, elegant look of the solid surface material. The result is a fascinating, gently curved, tactile ensemble which wants to be touched. The extremely thin table top is perfectly integrated into the wooden legs. The legs are slightly tapered towards the bottom of the table.

This dominant formal language is once again used in the middle of the table top. Here, a slight indentation serves for example as a fruit bowl. An impressive demonstration of the thermo-formability of the material. In the same manner as the sides of the table are made of one long piece of wood, the table surface equally appears to be manufactured from one piece, owing to the capability to create seamlessly bonded surfaces made of DuPont™ Corian®.
