The chair shell is made using the deep drawing process, starting with a single sheet of steel with mechanical properties speci ally designed to obtain the desired shapes. The legs are also made by the deep drawing of a metal sheet, which is then joined to the structures with an advanced welding process (TIG). The final effect is that of a monolithic steel structure. A distinctive hexagonal pattern decorates the seat and backs of the chairs, and is repeated on the table tops as well. 518 Round table: Painted deep drawn sheet metal top, with two matching legs welded to a tubular crosspiece, and one single leg welded to a tubular piece connected to the double leg crosspiece.
