Her design is the perfect combination of unparalleled softness with a straightforward, unfussy aesthetic, and out of the Nana Chair unveiled in 2021, a sofa and a generously proportioned armchair have now followed, both best understood as a joint homage to the art of upholstery – and one which, in spite of their voluminous look, is characterised by simple. yet refined elegance. Nana was Hanne Willmann’s first piece for Freifrau, and the Berlin-based designer found inspiration for the chair by concentrating on softness and thickness. As such, it’s no surprise that the finished design is reminiscent of tufts of cloud. All in all, Nana was created to offer maximum simplicity and true design perfection with an as yet unparalleled level of comfort. “Taking the Nana Chair and developing new pieces from it was by no means a simple matter of just rescaling design elements up to sofa and armchair size,” says Hanne Willmann. “So to make sure that both retained the highest possible levels of comfort, we adapted each part of the Nana design to the new shape.” Regardless of the changes, however, Willmann focussed on retaining key details and, above all, on keeping the straight, simple serenity of the overall design. Both the Nana Sofa and the Love Seat are available in a wide range of materials and colours. ![](https://www.stylepark.com/assets/transformations/manufacturers/_697x480_crop_center-center_none/2022_Nana_Lounger-Pouf_Dedar-Nude_back.jpg) ![](https://www.stylepark.com/assets/transformations/manufacturers/_697x480_crop_center-center_none/2022_Nana_Lounger-Pouf_Dedar-Nude_front2.jpg) - Request a quote - [Manufacturer's Product-Info](https://www.freifrau.com/en/products) - [Manufacturer's website](https://www.freifrau.com) All Nana products - [![Nana Love Seat Petite without Armrests](https://www.stylepark.com/assets/transformations/manufacturers/_350x225_crop_center-center_none/Freifrau_Nana-Love-Seat-Petite-without-armrest_Nimbus-Nude_front.jpg)](https://www.stylepark.com/en/freifrau/nana-love-seat-petite-without-armrests) - [![Nana Pouf L](https://www.stylepark.com/assets/transformations/manufacturers/_350x225_crop_center-center_none/2022_Nana_Pouf-L_Nimbus-Brebis_front.jpg)](https://www.stylepark.com/en/freifrau/nana-pouf-l) - [![Nana Pouf M](https://www.stylepark.com/assets/transformations/manufacturers/_350x225_crop_center-center_none/2022_Nana_Pouf-M_Nimbus-Brebis_front.jpg)](https://www.stylepark.com/en/freifrau/nana-pouf-m) - [![Nana Pouf S](https://www.stylepark.com/assets/transformations/manufacturers/_350x225_crop_center-center_none/2022_Nana_Pouf-S_Nimbus-Brebis_front.jpg)](https://www.stylepark.com/en/freifrau/nana-pouf-s) - [![Nana Pouf Petite](https://www.stylepark.com/assets/transformations/manufacturers/_350x225_crop_center-center_none/2022_Nana_Petite-Pouf_Nimbus-Topo_front2.jpg)](https://www.stylepark.com/en/freifrau/nana-pouf-petite) - [![Nana Love Seat without Armrests](https://www.stylepark.com/assets/transformations/manufacturers/_350x225_crop_center-center_none/Freifrau_Nana_Love-Seat-without-Armrest_Nimbus-Nude_front.jpg)](https://www.stylepark.com/en/freifrau/nana-love-seat-without-armrests) - [![Nana Pouf](https://www.stylepark.com/assets/transformations/manufacturers/_350x225_crop_center-center_none/2022_Nana_Pouf_Dedar-Nude_front_2022-06-13-101750_wllr.jpg)](https://www.stylepark.com/en/freifrau/nana-pouf) - [![Nana Love Seat](https://www.stylepark.com/assets/transformations/manufacturers/_350x225_crop_center-center_none/2022_Nana_Lounger_Dedar-Nude_front.jpg)](https://www.stylepark.com/en/freifrau/nana-love-seat) - [![Nana Sofa](https://www.stylepark.com/assets/transformations/manufacturers/_350x225_crop_center-center_none/2022_Nana_Couch_Dedar-Brebis_front.jpg)](https://www.stylepark.com/en/freifrau/nana-sofa) - [![Nana Armchair](https://www.stylepark.com/assets/transformations/manufacturers/_350x225_crop_center-center_none/2021_FreiFrau_Schloss-Arff_NANA_Det_05.jpg)](https://www.stylepark.com/en/freifrau/nana-armchair) - [![Nana](https://www.stylepark.com/assets/transformations/manufacturers/_350x225_crop_center-center_none/2021_Nana_1-8_ME012_Nimbus-Nuvola_front_02.jpg)](https://www.stylepark.com/en/freifrau/nana) - [All products by Freifrau @ Stylepark](https://www.stylepark.com/en/products/manufacturer/freifrau) - [Freifrau @ Stylepark](https://www.stylepark.com/en/manufacturer/freifrau) Freifrau Related Articles [DESIGN Natural grace 4/1/2026 Stylepark is giving away the ‘Grace Lounge Chair Low’ by Freifrau!](https://www.stylepark.com/en/news/freifrau-grace-lounge-chair-low-prize-draw-stylepark-magazine) [INTERVIEWS In good shape 9/9/2025 Birgit Hoffmann and Christoph Kahleyss have expanded the Marie chair family for Freifrau.
