Intrusive Thoughts Boot is a sculptural mirror piece by Ellen Pong that blurs the boundary between functional object and artwork. Intrusive Thoughts Boot features a polished stainless-steel mirror anchored by a central glazed stoneware tile and adjustable magnetic ceramic buttons. The magnets allow the tile elements to be rearranged on the mirror surface, making each Intrusive Thoughts Boot configuration unique and interactive. The piece was curated by Superhouse and made exclusively for Hem in a hand-signed, limited edition.

The design juxtaposes the cool reflective quality of the stainless steel with the tactile, glazed surface of the stoneware tile. Intrusive Thoughts Boot celebrates material contrast and tactility while inviting continual rearrangement, so the work evolves with each interaction. As each piece is handmade, Intrusive Thoughts Boot may present slight variations, reinforcing its one-of-a-kind character.

Intrusive Thoughts Boot functions equally well as an artistic focal point or a decorative mirror in interiors, offering both visual intrigue and practical use. The combination of glazed stoneware, polished stainless steel, plywood and magnets establishes Intrusive Thoughts Boot as a distinctive addition to the Hem X collection.
