The Surfaced Stool is a meticulously crafted stool defined by its distinctive layered surface. Designed by Sho Ota for the PROPS collection, the Surfaced Stool is assembled from numerous beech offcuts, resulting in a sculptural profile rich in depth and tactile interest. Each Surfaced Stool is painstakingly pieced together by hand, making every piece a unique work with its own surface variation and character.

Offered as a limited, hand-signed edition, the Surfaced Stool celebrates craft. Because each stool is individually constructed, subtle differences in tone and texture occur, ensuring that every Surfaced Stool is one-of-a-kind. Each stool is shipped with a complimentary 70 x 100 cm PROPS poster.

The Surfaced Stool functions equally well as a functional seat and as a striking object in interior settings. Whether placed as a focal point in a living space or integrated into a curated exhibition, the Surfaced Stool communicates thoughtful design, artisanal skill, and a commitment to considered materiality.
