The Udon Chair is a deceptively simple yet highly skilled piece of contemporary design. Designed by Staffan Holm, the Udon Chair draws inspiration from bentwood traditions and Japanese carpentry, using just a few clever joints to create a clean, open structure. Subtle stained finishes accentuate the lively wood grain while a generous seat ensures a comfortable sit. The Udon Chair works equally well around a dining table, in meeting spaces or as a singular accent in a residential interior.

Craftsmanship and material selection define the Udon Chair. Pressed beech with a water-based lacquer delivers a durable, matte surface that highlights the wood’s character. Variants include an upholstered Udon Chair with high-quality Scandinavian leather for added comfort and refinement. The Udon Chair exemplifies how traditional techniques can be reinterpreted for modern living, offering durability, timeless appeal and versatile functionality.
