Work like the ancient Greeks
Patricia Urquiola created a new bookshelf, the Dewey Bookshelf, composed of different materials according to the function. In this case, the plastic is punctured by wooden shelves that segment the product horizontally drawing attention to the jewellery boxes made from distinctive curved and inflated rods. Here too, the aim was to use the massing to create an optical illusion and the impression of glass that would contrast with the solidity of the shelves. The shelves were designed to feel at home in whatever room they found themselves in, from the bathroom to the dining room, bedroom or kitchen.
