What are its special features? First, let's have a look at its technical features: it is stackable and can also be used outdoors (it has small holes also for water run-off), an aluminium frame (a die-cast aluminium crosspiece and extruded aluminium legs), with a seat and back in moulded polypropylene. It currently comes in the following colours: white, black, beige, coral red and basalt grey. What are its special design features? We can definitely call it a versatile chair: it is excellent for the catering sector, ideal in homes, and can be used both indoors and outdoors. From the perspective of pure design, we like to think that what Patrick has developed in 2015 is the outcome of a series of objects and works of art that have become milestones in culture in general. We think of the distinct colours of the Amanita mushroom, the mushroom in fairy tales and cartoons. We think of Meccano (Frank Hornby, 1908). Who didn't play with it as a child? We think of Braun Radio (Dieter Rams, 1960), the Muji CD player, (Naoto Fukusawa, 1999), and the Apple Mac Pro (Jonathan Ive, 2006), all commonly used products that are real works of art in terms of design. Last but not least, we think of the art and pictures in the Edge series by Damien Hirst (1988). What about its name? We needed to give meaning to its holes and link up with Kristalia and its Italian style. What kitchen utensil is used every day in Italy? The colander. ![Colander 3](https://www.stylepark.com/assets/transformations/manufacturers/d/delightfull/produkte/a/acerbis/produkte/d/delightfull/produkte/k/kristalia/produkte/colander/_697xAUTO_fit_center-center_none/colander-3.jpg)![Colander 6](https://www.stylepark.com/assets/transformations/manufacturers/d/delightfull/produkte/a/acerbis/produkte/d/delightfull/produkte/k/kristalia/produkte/colander/_697xAUTO_fit_center-center_none/colander-6.jpg)![Colander 4](https://www.stylepark.com/assets/transformations/manufacturers/d/delightfull/produkte/a/acerbis/produkte/d/delightfull/produkte/k/kristalia/produkte/colander/_697xAUTO_fit_center-center_none/colander-4.jpg)![Colander 2](https://www.stylepark.com/assets/transformations/manufacturers/d/delightfull/produkte/a/acerbis/produkte/d/delightfull/produkte/k/kristalia/produkte/colander/_697xAUTO_fit_center-center_none/colander-2.jpg)![Colander 11](https://www.stylepark.com/assets/transformations/manufacturers/d/delightfull/produkte/a/acerbis/produkte/d/delightfull/produkte/k/kristalia/produkte/colander/_697xAUTO_fit_center-center_none/colander-11.jpg)![Colander 8](https://www.stylepark.com/assets/transformations/manufacturers/d/delightfull/produkte/a/acerbis/produkte/d/delightfull/produkte/k/kristalia/produkte/colander/_697xAUTO_fit_center-center_none/colander-8.jpg) ![Colander6](https://www.stylepark.com/assets/transformations/manufacturers/k/kristalia/produkte/Colander/_697xAUTO_fit_center-center_none/Colander6.jpg)![Colander 7](https://www.stylepark.com/assets/transformations/manufacturers/d/delightfull/produkte/a/acerbis/produkte/d/delightfull/produkte/k/kristalia/produkte/colander/_697xAUTO_fit_center-center_none/colander-7.jpg)![Colander 5](https://www.stylepark.com/assets/transformations/manufacturers/d/delightfull/produkte/a/acerbis/produkte/d/delightfull/produkte/k/kristalia/produkte/colander/_697xAUTO_fit_center-center_none/colander-5.jpg)![Colander 10](https://www.stylepark.com/assets/transformations/manufacturers/d/delightfull/produkte/a/acerbis/produkte/d/delightfull/produkte/k/kristalia/produkte/colander/_697xAUTO_fit_center-center_none/colander-10.jpg)![Colander7](https://www.stylepark.com/assets/transformations/manufacturers/k/kristalia/produkte/Colander/_697xAUTO_fit_center-center_none/Colander7.jpg)![Colander 9](https://www.stylepark.com/assets/transformations/manufacturers/d/delightfull/produkte/a/acerbis/produkte/d/delightfull/produkte/k/kristalia/produkte/colander/_697xAUTO_fit_center-center_none/colander-9.jpg) - [Manufacturer's Product-Info](http://www.kristalia.it/design-chairs/colander/stackable-chair-indoor-outdoor/) - [Manufacturer's website](https://www.kristalia.it/) - [All products by Kristalia @ Stylepark](https://www.stylepark.com/en/products/manufacturer/kristalia) - [Kristalia @ Stylepark](https://www.stylepark.com/en/manufacturer/kristalia) Kristalia Related Articles [DESIGN Kristalia 2022: TONBO 10/14/2022 Kensaku Oshiro has designed the "Tonbo" chair for the Italian furniture manufacturer Kristalia, whose backrest refers to a shy creature of nature.](https://www.stylepark.com/en/news/kristalia-2022-tonbo-kensaku-oshiro) [DESIGN Kristalia 2021: PALCO 5/25/2021 Flexible, practical and reduced to the essentials: The new outdoor seating system "Palco" by Kim Colin and Sam Hecht for Kristalia.](https://www.stylepark.com/en/news/kristalia-2021-palco)
