Forwards, sideways, backwards

La Carice is a tufted rug coloured by Helen de Leur, which is created using a combination of frisse wool and bamboo yarns, in four different colours. This innovative design gives it a distinctively subtle yet rugged expression. One of the most eye-catching features of La Carice is its sophisticated lustre. This comes from the vibrant combination of matt wool and shiny bamboo yarns used in its construction. The thick, heavy and luxurious tuft of La Carice is another of its defining characteristics. The woollen yarns that make up 50% of the rug’s content ensure that it has an upright pile, which gives it a beautifully rich and voluminous structure. The colours crafted by Helen de Leur for La Carice reflect her architectural background. They are inspired by, and designed to combine with, architectural materials used in contemporary interiors. Consequently, the tones that comprise the palette for La Carice ensure it goes very well with contemporary styled rooms. They include: light wood, glass, concrete and semi-precious stone colours, as well as metal hues, such as silver, bronze and brass.
