Above all warm

Red threads, wild patterns: The Scandinavians once again proved their talent for good living indoors when outdoors things are stormy and snowy – at the Stockholm Furniture & Light Fair.
Reef is an upholstery textile that provides a fresh take on a classic herringbone pattern. Designed by Hella Jongerius, the individual motifs of Reef were initially hand painted before being translated into a woven design.
Colour and negative space break up the herringbone’s continuous zigzag, thereby infusing the pattern with new life. While from a distance Reef offers large stripes, colour nuances and subtle irregularities appear as you come closer.
The palette for Reef consists of eight colourways that build on a neutral base and feature Hella Jongerius’s signature colour accents, such as coral, leaf, and turquoise.
Greenguard and Greenguard Gold Certified for reduced emissions, Reef has an eco-conscious profile. It is made with rapidly renewable content – cotton – and also incorporates post-consumer recycled polyester.
