Nordhavn sends a textile message
by Fabian Peters | 12/8/2017
Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec not only dream up textile designs for Kvadrat. They have also for the second time designed the label’s Copenhagen flagship showroom.
Karina Nielsen Rios’ first collection for Kvadrat is comprised of upholstery, screen and curtain fabrics. The curtains are called Zeze and Yoyo and the upholstery Checkpoint. Toto is the name of the screen textile. All the fabrics in the collection share a distinctive metallic look.
Zeze is a curtain fabric, made from the same unspun yarn as Checkpoint – but with no coating on the yarns, looks and feels smoother and lighter. The textile is randomly striped and comes in elegant, cool shades of grey, white and beige.
