Product description

An unusual story
The “Seasons” collection has been exclusively designed for Leolux by Claire Vos. The carpets are a wonderful addition to the collection, particularly due to the special way in which they are made. The tufting of the Seasons carpets is done in the Netherlands by one of the biggest producers of handmade carpets. Here, disabled people work on your carpet with the greatest care. We can thus guarantee that issues like the environment and job conditions are in good hands.

This unique collection has another special feature: the shape of the carpets. Each carpet has three slightly rounded corners and one straight one, so that it fits well in a corner or under a corner sofa. All Seasons carpets come in four pile heights and several qualities of wool. They are available in two sizes and in four different colour themes named after the seasons.

‘Hand-tufted rugs with an added layer of interest’
Claire Vos: ‘Generally speaking, carpets have a fitted border and form a clean surface in an interior. My starting point for the ‘Seasons Collection’ was to break through this idea of a border and extend the carpet’s function beyond a mere lovely print on the floor. By placing various seating elements on the carpet, the individual colour blocks take on their own application. This carpet invites the user to place an armchair right near the soft, deep, tufted area in the middle, and a sofa or a corner seat around the 90 degree angle in the corner. The other, rounded corners reinforce the various functions. By varying the gauge of the woollen yarns and using different heights, the ‘Seasons’ hand-tufted carpets have been given an added layer of interest.’

• The ‘Seasons Collection’ is available in 4 colour combinations, inspired by the seasons, Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter
• Available sizes: 340 x 225 and 430 x 280 cm. Executed as landscape (horizontal) or portrait (vertical).
