A gentlemen’s dialogue
by Anna Moldenhauer | 5/23/2019
Galerie Parisa Kind in Frankfurt/Main is showcasing works by designer Pierre Paulin for the first time in Germany, juxtaposing them to paintings by his long-term friend Christoph von Weyhe.
Low table with structure in black-stained solid beech or natural solid beech, equipped with adjustable jacks. Top in 12 mm thick toughened clear glass (polished flat joints). The base of Antigone is worked in the manner of a wooden framework with vigorous, more masculine lines. Its great architectural rigour is characterised by a labyrinthine geometric assembly of solid wood blocks. The addition of the glass top, the use of natural or black-stained beech, a tight-pored species, all combine to lighten and modernise the Antigone tables, which are true timeless classics.
